Clients FAQ
Do you respond to RFP requests?
Yes. Streamline will review the requests for proposals from potential clients and respond with questions if necessary or a proposal if the project fits our skillset.
Are all of your projects custom?
Yes, in most cases. Streamline is a custom web, mobile app and application programming company, so almost all of the work we produce is custom and is based on a given client's project requirements. However, there are times when utilizing a 3rd-party theme for a website is more beneficial to a specific client, so we use them from time to time upon client request.
Do you require annual or monthly maintenance agreements?
No. Most of the work Streamline produces is performed in a "one off" fashion, so projects typically have a beginning and an end. Some clients need us to continue working on projects after the initial work is complete, and we do so on a month-to-month basis. We do offer maintenance agreements for our clients, but they are not required in order to engage us for projects.
Do clients have to sign a contract to begin a project?
Yes. We provide proposals in such a way as to present pricing, services included, expectations, requirements, and so on. Then there will be a way for each of us project partners (vendor and client) to sign it to produce a service contract.
Are clients locked in to any of your services?
No. When a project is complete and the final invoice is paid, the work we perform on behalf of a given client may be transferred fully to that client upon request. That typically includes code, documents, account info, files, and so on. We do not claim ownership of a project other than to present it as an example of our efforts. There may be certain technologies or platforms used for a project that "lock" a client in some manner. An example is a content management system such as WordPress or Drupal, in which case it cannot be changed after a project is completed using one of them.
How is billing handled and what payment options do you accept?
We bill one-off projects according to the proposal, and each of those is customized to the needs of the client. For example, we might bill 1/3 down, 1/3 at the project mid-point, and 1/3 upon completion. Ongoing client work such as web and mobile app updates is billed monthly by the hour or by a maintenance agreement and is due upon receipt. Hosting services are normally billed quarterly, though there are some exceptions for monthly or annual hosting invoices. Payments may be made via check, ACH transfer, or common credit/debit cards.
How do you handle technical support?
There is a "Support" button in the footer of all pages of our website. Clients can click it to fill out a support ticket. We will receive that ticket and respond within 1 business day during our normal business hours of Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Eastern). In the majority of cases, our team has built a client's website or mobile app, so we are very familiar with it and should be able to address issues quickly.
